Henry looked at Goodnight as he said that damned phrase again, and then looked at Billy, who looked to be trying to contain his laughter at the phrase. In loaded, slightly irritated Korean, he asked Billy, "What is that even supposed to mean? Why are white people so ridiculous?"

Billy did laugh then, though he did his best to smother it in his coffee. "If I knew that, little brother, my life would have been a lot easier."
