"As long as it's not completely insufferable, I suppose," Henry conceded, and he smiled. He touched his knuckles, very briefly, to the outside of Adam's knee. It was not a pat or a thump, which he thought might be unwelcome. But it was a grounding sort of touch, an assurance that he appreciated Adam's being here--all of them being here--and that he, at least, was trying to make this a good time.
