Cheng's statement seems to speak from experience and Ronan's eyebrow arches when he wonders who at Aglionby had been the one to scrawl across Cheng's precious petition. Kavinsky, maybe. It's pretty fucking mild compared to Kavinsky's usual method of pissing people off, but it would explain why Cheng seems to hate him almost as much as Ronan. On top of the more obvious reasons, of course.
