She perches on the edge of the arm of the couch, aware after a second that she should not be putting her weight on the wrong part of someone else's furniture and pushing herself up off it.
"You do that a lot," she says, frowning a little pensively at a chip. "Laugh off things about being Korean. Too many other people will do that for you."
